This photographic journey will take you to the last wild mountain gorillas and chimpanzees on this earth. Your final destination is Uganda, the green heart of Africa. You will fly into Kigali, the capital of Rwanda and after one night in a good hotel, we will cross the boarder into Uganda. This will save us a lot of time to reach Bwindi as driving from Entebbe would take two days. In the afternoon we will reach the Bwindi National Park and the Nkuringo Gorilla Camp. You will visit the Bwindi National Park in southern Uganda and do your gorilla tracking in the rainforest the next day. The gorilla takes you into the deep valleys and the dense rainforest. There isn't a guarantee to see the apes, but the chances are very good and normally we do not miss them.
On one day you will have the opportunity to see and photograph the mountain gorillas in their natural environment. To protect the animals, the duration is limited to one hour. The strickt rules may only allow eight people per day for gorilla trekking per gorilla family. This is why we always book all photographers into the same group. So you will be alone with your companions during the tracking. No other people will join your group and you have the best options of tacking amazing pictures.
The second part of the trip will take you to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. There we will visit the domestic chimpanzees and you will also be able to photograph elephants, buffalos, lions and other inhabitants of the savannah. The chimp tracking takes place in a deep george, overgrown by rainforest and is another highlight of this trip. You will track the apes along the river and after the activity you will proceed with your game drive in the park. From Queen Elizabeth National Park you will proceed your journey to the north and into the Kibale Forest, where you will experience the second and third chimpanzee tracking. You will stay in the Kibale Forest Camp and enjoy the close encounter of the chimpz for two full days.
