Daily Activities
As photographing the Northern Lights takes usually place from 8pm to 2am, we are offering a wide variety of daytime activities on your trip. This can include landscape photography trips with snow mobiles or husky sledges or non photographic activities like snow shoe hiking, sauna sessions, snow mobile excursions or ice carting.
The wonderful part of this winter wonderland trip is, that there are many winter activities available to choose from during your Northern Lights Photographic Trip. We will work out the best and most fun activities for your photography group and make sure you and your guests will have an amazing time.
Astro Photography
The peak Northern Lights season in Finland offers dark nights and clear skies—perfect for astro and deep-space photography. Our Northern Finland base features a special star-gazing Inuit Tent where the night sky is projected onto the tent ceiling, giving you a perfect overview of what to photograph.
You can photograph the Milky Way and the Moon, depending on the moon phase during your visit. Our partners also provide deep-space telescopes like the Vespera II from Vaonis, allowing you to capture distant galaxies. You’ll learn about image stacking and post-processing techniques.
If you visit during a full moon, you can learn advanced moon photography, including moon stacking and mineral moon pictures. This will expand your portfolio and your clients’ portfolios, as you learn how to process these shots during your Northern Lights Photography Trip.
